What's With Fans Storming Stages at Concerts Recently? Its happend to Miley, Bieber, Britney, Avril

In the past, it was more common for fans to throw their love on stage in the form of flowers, teddy bears and even bras. The performers would show their love back through hand-to-hand contact that used to drive crowds wild. However, it now seems that fans prefer to throw themselves on stage. If performers today were to reach their hands out into the crowds they’d most likely be pulled in. In case you aren’t tuned in with recent happenings, artists like Avril Lavigne, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and even Lady Gaga to name a few, have all been interrupted mid-show by a crazed fan.
Do the fans come in with preconceived motives or are they just overcome with so much emotion they can’t control themselves? It’s worth it to note that only the most persistent make it all the way (and suffer the consequences). After all, the fan has many bodies and barricades to break through before even making it to the stage.
The problem is, the fan’s on-stage presence stops the show cold and scares the entertainer – and gets the fan immediately ejected from the show and often arrested. It’s a stupid thing to do, it certainly doesn’t endear a fan to the object of their affection (you look like a crazy person!) and it ruins things for the thousands of others in attendance at the show.
How the artist reacts to the hysteria varies. Avril Lavigne experienced an unwelcome interaction with a hyped fan at a show in Brazil this week and let out a sharp shriek and nervous laughter before getting right back into song. Miley Cyrus, interrupted during a June performance in Melbourne, was not quite as graceful as she screamed “Oh my God” into the mic and ran off stage escorted by security. Britney Spears was in the middle of “Womanizer” during her Circus tour when her dancers intercepted a rogue fan.
Sure, it makes for a briefly popular YouTube video, but in the end it does everyone invovled more harm than good. And of course, no refund is given.
