We asked you who should win the coveted award and 42.5% of you thought Miley deserved to win — were you shocked with the outcome?

Selena Gomez might have millions of fans all over the world but Miley Cyrus is still the reigning Hollywood starlet. HollywoodLifers took our poll right before the 2011 Teen Choice Awards to cast their vote as to who should win the Choice TV Actress Comedy and Miley beat Selena by a landslide — Selena actually came in third place!

Although Selena won on Aug. 7 for her role as Alex on the hit Disney show Wizards of Waverly Placeshe only took home 13.53% of our HL votes. Miley came in first, and Demi Lovato was a close second with 42.3%. Even one of our LA editors Kirstin Benson wasn’t rooting for Selena — she wantedMiranda Cosgrove to win for her role as Carly on Nickelodeon’s hit show iCarly.
