This time last year they had just finished a nationwide school and club tour trying to drum up support for their debut single All Time Low.
Fast forward a year and Brit-nominated boyband The Wanted are in high demand, fully booked for the summer playing at huge festivals alongside the likes of Eminen and are set to announce details of a nationwide tour, very soon.
And the company they are keeping these days is seriously A-list too, at least when the opportunity presents itself.

Max George, 22, tells me how, feeling spontaneous, he decided to jump into the back of Rihanna’s van as she was leaving Wembley.
‘I thought that’s Rihanna there, and the door was open so I dived in. I didn’t last very long though, I said "Hi" and was thrown out by security,’he recalls.
While Max might mingle with some of music's hottest stars he recently got engaged to Coronation Street stunner Michelle Keegan, and is hoping to start wedding planning soon, when their busy schedules allow.

‘We have had a look at a couple of places but because of the single and the album and she is hammered in storylines at the minute so we haven’t really got time.’
‘We are buying a house pretty soon but after that we will look into that.’
But as for the details of the proposal Max is keeping them private.
‘I’ve not told anyone how I did it I’m going keep that to myself. But she said yes so delighted, absolutely,' he gushes.
It seems that one by one the lads are starting to settle down with Siva Kaneswaran, 22, in a relationship with shoe designer Nareesha McCaffery while Tom Parker, 22, went public with his girlfriend actress Kelsey Hardwick in May.
Which leaves Jay McGuinness, 20, and 18-year-old Nathan Sykes as the only single members of the band and Tom jokes: ‘Nathan has to stay single for the rest of our career.’
While the youngest member of the group has a dedicated fan base who want him to remain single - he was even sent a death threat by a girl on Twitter warding him off getting a girlfriend – I ask him which famous lady would he most like to hook up with, if her had the chance.

‘Miley Cyrus’ Nathan tells me decidedly, before adding: ‘Well there aren’t too many ladies in my age range are there?’
The boys are in high-spirits when I meet them, their newest single Glad You Came hit the midweek chart at number 1 and they are set to bag the top spot.
Their latest offering is a more of a club track than their previous songs and Jay, who takes on the role of spokesperson explains: ‘I think the start is still quite typical of some of our old album and the end, the Coldplay sounding stuff, but it’s more clubby and summery than we have ever done.’
