Miley Cyrus was spotted recently with a summer shirt that exposed one of her several tattoos. At just 18-years-old she's one of a group of young celebrities who have been inked long before their 20th birthdays. Here's a look at some famous teens who have tats.
Recently Miley was seen in a low cut shirt exposing thedreamcatcher tattoo that she has on her right side. But the 18-year-old has others, too. One just below her chest reads "Just Breathe," reportedly in honor of a friend who was battling an illness. And the former "Hannah Montana" star has one in a rather unusual spot, her right inner earlobe that says "love," which is meant to help ward off negative messages. Above all that Miley has a small heart-shaped tat on her right pinkie and a cross on her finger.
The "Camp Rock" star has been very open about the troubles that she's struggled with including the fact that she used to cut herself. But the 18-year-old Lovato has covered up the remaining scars on her wrists with the much more positive message in "stay strong." In a show of motherly support, her mom Dianna got the same tat as well.
In case anyone was wondering whether or not Justin Bieber is a star, he got a tattoo that cleared the issue up. Just last month, the Biebs was spotted with the symbol inked on his left elbow. It's actually not the 17-year-old pop sensations first tat, he also has a small "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" bird on his left hip, which other family members have, too. There's been lots of debate over whether the word Jesus in Hebrewthat appeared on his side and an ace of spades card on his forearm are permanent or were henna tattoos.
Family tattoos seem to be all the rage these days. 17-year-old Ali Lohan reportedly got inked to match her mom Dina and big sister Lindsay recently. Now all three Lohan women all have a small star on their inner left wrists.
Jenny Humphrey may have been a good kid on "Gossip Girl," but the actress who played her, Taylor Momsen is a bit of wild child. The front woman for the band The Pretty Reckless has a small star tattoo on her left ribcage. The 17-year-old also has been seen with the band's logo "XXXX" on her left wrist, which some people say were actually hand drawn.
